Formerly Managing Director and Creative Director of world-renowned Darlow Smithson Productions in London, Ben Bowie is a writer, director and executive producer with over 25 years experience. His theatrical feature, Hawking kicked off SXSW in 2014, wining the Grand Jury Prize at Jackson’s Hole. Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale was nominated for an Emmy and the Seattle International Film Festival, Best Documentary award. Ben specializes in high-end factual documentaries, long running series, feature documentaries and high impact specials. He has conceived and produced dozens of hours of programming for PBS, Nat Geo, Discovery, Channel 4 and the BBC. Recent credits include Hubble’s Cosmic Journey for Nat Geo and Stephen Hawking’s Favourite Places for Curiosity Stream which won an Emmy for its visual effects. Ben lives in East Sussex, UK with his family.

Iain Riddick

Iain is a multi award winning, Emmy nominated filmmaker and executive producer. Iain creates innovative and acclaimed series and global events across multiple genres, using the very latest techniques and technologies. His filmmaking credits include Discovery Channel’s landmark natural history series, North America; the groundbreaking series, Into The Universe with Stephen Hawking and Earth from Space. He has helped create multiple blue-chip factual series including History Channel’s hit series, America The Story of US. Previously Iain served as Commissioning Executive Producer for National Geographic Channel International, Executive Producer for Discovery US and Head of Special Projects for Darlow Smithson Productions.

Head of Production

Donna has been delivering content for major international broadcasters for two decades, working as a Line Producer on both sides of the Atlantic. She has extensive experience in factual, formats, drama docs, scripted reality, corporates and fast turnarounds. Before joining Bigger Bang Donna managed 3 series of Gold Rush for Raw TV. She oversees all of Bigger Bang’s productions and staff.
